Meaningful access to education includes the right to learn to read. Reading is the foundation for success in school, work and life.

The OHRC launched its Right to Read public inquiry in October 2019, concerned that Ontario’s public education system was failing to meet the needs of students with reading disabilities. The Right to Read inquiry report is being released on February 28 and it calls for changes to Ontario’s approach to early reading.

I had the privilege of lending my voice to this effort, and I'm included in the trailer below.
